This is application form is for Agency Workers and Students who want to apply to join the St Mungo’s Locum Bank. Please only apply if a St Mungo’s manager has recommended you to join the Locum Bank. To do this, the manager should email the Locum Admin team.

At St Mungo’s we have a locum bank of approximately 350 casual workers who provide temporary cover, ensuring our services can continue to run smoothly when there are staffing gaps. St Mungo’s run a range of services, including outreach, accommodation, floating support services as well as skills, employment and care services, depending on the local area and the needs of the people there. 

Locum workers work on an ad hoc or temporary basis and can choose to work shifts that best suit their circumstances. They cover a variety of different roles across services, such as assessment and reconnection worker, project worker, night worker and duty worker roles. The shifts you can undertake as a locum will be dependent on your experience and the level you have been recommended at.

We pay the following rates of pay (inside/outside London): 

  • Assessment & Reconnection/Outreach /Housing First worker: £18.25/ £16.15

  • Project Worker: £16.26/ £14.16

  • Night Worker: £16.03/ £13.94

  • Duty Worker/Night Concierge: £14.56/ £12.47

 

How to apply 

  1. A manager must make a recommendation for you to apply to the locum bank, by emailing the Locum Admin team. Please only apply if this has been done. If you are unsure, please check with your manager.

  1. Click the ‘Apply Now’ Button at the top of the page to start your online application form. 

  1. Once the online application form has been completed, you will progress to pre-employment checks. These will include:

  • A new right to work check

  • A new DBS or update service check

  • References to cover the last 3 years of employment history
