Speechify is the easiest way to listen to the world’s information. Or at least that’s what we strive for: smart apps designed to quickly turn information into audio so people can listen on the go, at their own speed, with tools that make learning easier, deeper, and faster.
We’re looking for a senior product designer who’s deeply curious about information design, multi-platform systems, and audio to help us expand our services and ship smart features that our customers love. This is a foundational role on a small but growing team and ideal for someone who’s worked at a startup, knows how to ship, and influenced or built a durable design system.
To succeed here, you’ll need:
Experience. You’ve shipped mobile and browser-based products and built or influenced a design system
Moxy. You’re curious, expressive, and know how to engage those around you to draw out insights and ideas
Speed. You work quickly to generate ideas and options and know how to decide which things can ship now and what things need time
System-thinking. Your ideas are rooted to our platform even as you consider ideas and features that pull us in new directions
Focus. We’re a high-growth startup with a busy, remote team. You know how and when to engage or be heads down
Collaboration. You know how to inspire, play, and negotiate with opinionated PMs, engineers, and execs
Words and data. You write with clarity and conviction and use data to reinforce your points
To live in a North American time zone. We’re a remote company with a global crew, but this role is designed to operate within ET-PT time zones
Some of the things you’ll do:
Pitch, test, build and ship new features
Rethink our onboarding and core user flows
Refine our UX/UI patterns across iOS, Chrome, and desktop
Influence the product roadmap
Refine our process and help shape the design org
A fast-growing environment where you can help shape the culture
An entrepreneurial crew that supports risk, intuition, and hustle
A hands-off approach so you can focus and do your best work
The opportunity to make an impact in a transformative industry
A competitive salary, a collegiate atmosphere, and a commitment to building a great asynchronous culture
Think you’re suited for this job? Drop us an email with a short intro about yourself, links to your portfolio and LinkedIn, and thoughts about why you’re interested in the role. email@example.com with the subject line: Senior Product Designer

Twikey is a fast-growing European scale-up specialized in recurring payment relations. As an experience Back-end Software Engineer, you are continuously improving the backend of our products. You will work in a highly skilled team working on high impact products, so you really make the difference both to the team and to our millions of customers.
Our engineering team is small and distributed. We value a calm environment where you can focus on doing great work.
Aside from a couple of weekly check-ins or project updates, you’ll be able to work interruption-free. If you want, a part-time function is also possible.
What we look for in our next employee:
Strong desire to create a scalable and performant application
Strong interest in java/spring and underlying databases.
Are you a motivated teamplayer with next qualifications?
Solid understanding of java/spring-mvc
Know the ins and outs of performant database access (we use Postgresql)
Experience in developing RESTful APIs
Willing to raise the bar delivering a performant and scalable system
You have a high level of discipline and can manage your own time.
Speaking and writing fluently English
Living in Europe is a must
Dutch/French or another European language is a plus.
We create simple-to-use, visual-first communication and accountability tools for contractors. Imagine a B2B SaaS app that doesn’t look like garbage, built by a team of capable, laid back people.
But don’t let the chill throw you off; we’re a fast-growing, product-led startup with big plans for the future.
We’re looking for a sharp, self-motivated, problem-solving infrastructure engineer to join our team.
Using your knowledge of infrastructure and devops technologies, you’ll work on our Platform Team to improve our logging, monitoring, and notifications systems, improve and automate our security infrastructure, improve our infrastructure and application deployment strategy; and create tools to enable reliable, fast, scalable, and secure work on our product teams.
And, perhaps most importantly, you’ll actively contribute to the evolution of the culture and processes of a growing engineering team.
Did you wake up this morning with a burning desire to create apps for contractors? No? I didn’t think so. I admit, it’s not something one thinks about without some prompting. But bear with me for a moment…
Contractors are everywhere. They build our homes, they literally put roofs over our heads, they wire up our electricity, give us access to the internet, fix our plumbing and AC, paint our homes…the list goes on.
At CompanyCam, you’ll work with intelligent, kind people to make contractors’ work easier. You’ll create time for them so they can get shit done and spend more of that time with their families. Sound corny? You’ll find that midwesterner ethos permeate our culture (we’re based in Lincoln, NE), so if you can’t hang with that, no hard feelings, but this probably isn’t the role for you.
Working At CompanyCam
Our Product and Engineering departments work together on basically two types of teams. Most teams focus on the product itself, while the platform team supports that work, and also works on larger and more fundamental systems and maintenance, infrastructure, and devops.
Product teams use Basecamp’s Shape Up method (fused with empowered product teams a la Marty Cagan’s Inspired) to organize and execute their work. That means they work in teams in 6-week cycles to implement product improvements. After each cycle, everyone enjoys a 1-2 week cool-down where they pursue educational opportunities, work on pet projects, or smash some bugs that have been nagging at them.
As an infrastructure engineer, you’ll work on our Platform Team and follow the same 6-week cycle + 1-2 week cool-down template.
Sounds nice, right? No sprinting, no scrumming, no death by 1,000 meetings. We protect our engineers’ time, treat them like adults, and trust them to get their work done. We’re also big on not overworking people. Put in your eight hours of focused, quality work and then TURN. SLACK. OFF. No nights and weekends.
Our larger company culture is also refreshingly chill. We have fun, learn from each other, and don’t take ourselves too seriously.
We cover the important stuff too. We pay well, offer unlimited vacation, meaningful equity, health insurance, and other benefits. If you’re local or down to move, we’re custom remodeling a new office space in the Lincoln Haymarket area that you’ll love. If you’re remote (most of the engineering team is), we’re well set up with great conference room video equipment so you’ll feel like you’re there with us, and once life is back to normal we’ll fly you in a few times a year to hang out.
What We Ask Of You
Must-haves These are our non-negotiables:
Show up: have the courage to do difficult but necessary stuff.
Grow up: take responsibility, learn continuously, and have a growth mindset.
Do good: treat your co-workers and customers the way you want to be treated.
Experience with using Terraform to modularize and deploy infrastructure.
Experience deploying infrastructure to AWS via automation.
Experience working with Ubuntu systems and knowledge of SSH, SystemD, and Nginx.
Proficiency with EC2, RDS, API Gateway, and Lambda.
Experience working as a professional infrastructure engineer. (Sorry, we’re not hiring new devs at this time.)
Reside permanently and currently somewhere in the continental US. Alas, we’re not set up to hire outside of the US.
While experience with the following technologies are not required (we’re cool with some on-the-job learning), it would be a plus:
Deploying Rails with Capistrano
Configuring servers for running Sidekiq workers
This position can be U.S. Remote or in our Lincoln office. At least one year of remote experience is required if you plan on working remotely. We are not accepting applicants outside the U.S. at this time.
